银光协会 is a community for Chinese elders. They have a lot of members. They meet regularly every week. They also come to HCS at Chantilly during school sessions (they may come to other campuses too). They even have their own web site: http://blog.eastday.com/sp1/samesun/062308295671.shtml
Why don't you and your father come to the school to take a look. I'm sure he can make many friends there.
